Two teenagers are recovering from their ordeal last night after they were rescued by Coast Guard and local emergency units when they got into difficulty while swimming in Co Kerry

The 16-year-old and 17-year-old were trapped on the beach by the rising tide at Nun’s Strand, Co Kerry.

Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue and the Ballybunion Coast Guard unit were called to the scene, where the two youths were rescued by members of the Sea Rescue.
