Two killed in separate road traffic accidents

Two men have been killed in separate road traffic accidents

In Dublin a 57-year-old man was killed when his car hit a fence at the Red House Road, Glencullen at about 7.45pm.

He was pronounced dead at St Vincent's University Hospital.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Dundrum Garda Station or any garda station.

Elsewhere, a 27-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Longford.

The man was driving near the village of Legan when his car hit a pole at about 11.10pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

A 22-year-old passenger was taken to Tullamore Hospital.

His injuries are not life-threatening.
