Two children have been injured during a car rally in Tralee, Co Kerry.

The incident happened when a rally driver lost control of his car and collided with a barrier around 11.30am.

A seven-year-old girl was airlifted to Cork University Hospital and a two-year-old boy was brought to Kerry General Hospital.

Neither child is believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is underway.
