Ten passengers were rushed to hospital after a bus crashed into a tree in London this afternoon.

The causalities were evacuated by emergency services from the scene on Station Road in Manor Park, Newham.

London's Air Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade were also alerted.

Two passengers were taken to hospital as a priority, one for a head injury and one for hip pain.

However, the incident is being treated as non-suspicious and no arrests have been made, though enquiries are continuing.

At arrival to the scene, the London Fire Brigade closed down the road with local police officers to enable the air ambulance to land on Capel Road nearby.
