The PSNI have this afternoon named the main suspect in the samurai sword murder of Colin 'Bap' Lindsay.

Mr Lindsay, 47, was murdered at an address in Belvoir Estate in south Belfast yesterday evening.

Another man, 52-year-old Stanley Wightman, is in a critical condition in hospital.

He sustained injuries to his neck and arm.

46-year old Albert Armstrong was arrested after the police recovered a weapon from a blue Mazda 6 after they were called to an address in the area.

After visiting the house, officers then went to an address on Kirkistown Walk where they forced there way in and found two men seriously injured in the living room.

Police have appealed for anyone with information or who may have seen a blue Mazda 6, registration number FHZ 6126, to contact them.
