Shane Filan reported to be charging fans €160 for 'meet-and-greet'
FORMER Westlife heartthrob Shane Filan is reported to be charging fans €160 a go for a private meet-and-greet at an upcoming show.
The Sligo native (36) was declared bankrupt in 2012 after he accumulated debts of €22.9million following a series of property investments.
However, the economic crash saw those investments spiral south.
The singer, who launched a launched a solo career in recent years, has announced a new VIP package for his show in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre next March.
Tickets for the March 19 concert are on sale from €34.50, but the VIP package costs an extra €160.95 or €166.50 — bringing the total to at least €200.
The upgrade package entitles guests to a pre-show meet and greet with Shane, an autograph opportunity, a professional photo opportunity with the singer and a souvenir Shane Filan tour laminate.
Filan will also play Cork Opera House on March 18 as part of his UK and Ireland tour, after seeing his album Right Here go to No1 in the Irish charts.
As a member of Westlife, Filan enjoyed huge success as a popstar.

The boyband, managed by Louis Walsh, sold more than 50 million records worldwide, a total that included studio albums, singles, video releases, and compilation albums.
Shane married his childhood sweartheart Gillian Walsh in 2003 and the couple have three children together.
