Sex ban may be key to glory at Euros

RTE sex guru Dr Pixie McKenna has given her backing to Martin O’Neill’s Euro 2016 scoring ban, saying having a “full tank” could help players perform.

The Ireland manager warned his team earlier this month that France would be a love-free zone for his team – as WAGs will be banned from the team’s hotels.

O’Neill has said that the warm-up game against Belarus will be the last chance for the players to kick it with their other halves.

His no-sex stance is in contrast to England manager Roy Hodgson, who is giving his players one day off to spend with their girlfriends and wives during the tournament’s group stages.

However, Dr Pixie, who recently presented Pixie’s Sex Clinic on RTE, said she believes a scoring ban could help players.

She said: “It is commonly believed that celibacy will enhance sporting performance, however, the evidence to prove this is predominantly anecdotal.
