Search continues for Ireland's newest Lotto millionaires
A nationwide hunt is one to find the owner of a €4 Quick Pick ticket that is now worth €2m.
The ticket was sold in a Tesco Extra store in Drogheda, on the Donore Road, just off the M1.
While the staff at the shop hope that the ticket was bought by a local, the store's location means that the purchaser could be anywhere in the country after perhaps popping in on Friday on the way to another part of the country.
Personnel manager Jacinta Tuite told Herald.ie: “It’s fantastic news, it’s absolutely brilliant. There’s a great buzz around the place and it’s given everyone a lift. Everyone is checking their tickets,” said Ms Tuite.
“Customers are saying they’d better go home to check their tickets. Hopefully it’s someone from around the area, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
