Members of the Patrouille Suisse are pictured at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel where the team are preparing to participate in the Bray Airshow, which is taking place today.

The display by the Patrouille Suisse will be their inaugural aerobatic display in Irish skies. The 6 man team fly F-5E Tiger aircraft, and will reach speeds of up to 1100km per hour during the display.

They took to the skies this afternoon for a 20 minute rehearsal over Bray.

Over 80,000 people are at the tenth annual Bray Air Display show in Co Wicklow, featuring aircraft from the Irish Air Corps and the Swiss Air Force as part of Bray Summerfest.

Crowds are being treated to displays from the Irish Historic flight foundation of vintage models, the Swiss Air Force and the Black Knights defence forces parachute team.

There are some road closures in place in town this afternoon and people are being advised to use public transport where possible.
