One killed and another injured in Dublin road crash

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating a fatal collision in Hartstown, Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

One female pedestrian has died and another has been seriously injured in the incident.

At approximately 2.40am, two female pedestrians, both in their 40s, were seriously injured when they were struck by a car on Hartstown Road.

Both were taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. One of the women was later pronounced dead, the second remains in a serious condition. The occupants of the car were uninjured. 

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are at the scene and local traffic diversions are in place.
