Man robs Belfast cafe with crossbow

A man has robbed a Belfast cafe with a crossbow.

The man entered the Shore Road premises on Monday night just before 6.00pm before fleeing towards the Greymount area. 

He is described as being in his early 20s, around 5'8'' and wearing a white top and black tracksuit bottoms. 

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery at commercial premises in the Shore Road area of North Belfast on the evening of Monday 27 April." 

Detective Constable Ian Austin said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
