Man in his 60s dies after stabbing attack in Dublin

A man in his 60s has died after a stabbing attack in Dublin this afternoon.

The man died after he was stabbed on Cork Street at 2.30pm.

Gardaí at Kevin Street are investigating the fatal stabbing which occurred at Robinson's Court.

The man was taken by ambulance to St James' Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the offices of the State Pathologist have been notified.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses who may have been in the Robinson's Court area this afternoon to contact them at Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
