Man charged in Toomebridge murder investigation

A 24-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old James McDonagh who was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mr McDonagh, from Castledawson, was attacked outside the Elk Inn on the Hillhead Road, Toomebridge. 

He sustained head injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital where he later died.

Two other men arrested in in connection with the murder aged 52 and 41 have been released pending further enquiries.
