The family will accompany the murdered nurse's body home on a private flight organised by Aer Lingus

Ahead of a funeral on Tuesday near her home in Cork, Karen Buckley's body will be flown home from Glasgow tomorrow.

Earlier reports had suggested travel arrangements had been made for today but our sources tell us that a private Aer Lingus flight has been provided for the Buckley family to accompany Karen's remains on the journey from the Scottish city to Cork.

A spokesperson for the airline declined to comment when contacted by the sundayworld.com.

It is understood that the family will then hold a private service at their home for relatives, neighbours and friends on Sunday night.

Karen will lie in repose on Monday in O’Connell’s Funeral Home, St. James’ Avenue, Mallow from 4pm to 8pm. The removal will take place to Church of St. Michael the Archangel, Analeentha, close to the family home.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday at 2pm, with burial at St. John’s Cemetery, Burnfort.
