Irishman knifed on Turkey holiday
An award-winning Irish theatre director was stabbed to death while on holiday in Turkey.
Turkish cops have launched a murder hunt after the body of 64 year-old John Edward Donnelly from Dublin was discovered at his holiday apartment in Bodrum.
Mr Donnelly, from Dublin, had been holidaying in the resort for the past three weeks.
Neighbours alerted police after seeing a blood-stained knife in front of the door of his apartment.
Police said his naked body was then found at the rented apartment on Ney Tevfik Street at 2pm local time on Friday.
