Irish League footballer done for flashing his tackle to 'mature' woman

Irish league footballer Aaron Canning was given a yellow card last week after pleading guilty to flashing his tackle.

The 23-year-old Coleraine defender, who is known as ‘Snowy’ to pals, gets his kicks by exposing himself and making nuisance calls to mature women he identifies as targets.

Last week the dirty player appeared at North Antrim Magistrates Court to plead guilty to a charge of  indecently exposing himself to his 57-year-old victim.

He received an 18 month probation order and handed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order after admitting to the sordid sex crime and is now banned from having unsupervised contact with females.

The Sunday World can reveal that on October 29 last year sleazy Canning approached the local woman in his car on three separate occasions outside her home.

One the first occasion he approached her on the pretext of asking for directions as she left a nearby shop however his actions soon turned sinister. On the second occasion he was ‘fumbling’ with himself yet on the third occasion he pulled up alongside the woman and exposed his fully erect penis before asking her ‘if she would like some of it’.

The horrified woman took Canning’s registration number as he fled the scene and reported the traumatising and sickening incident to police.

When booked by police several weeks later the talented footballer, who signed a two year deal with Coleraine last summer, admitted it was his car and that he was the only one to have had access to it.

He admitted speaking to the woman but  insisted it was only to ask for directions however he later admitted his role in the seedy events.

Canning’s defence acknowledged the seriousness of incident however explained it was due to series of underlying issues..

Defence also argued that Canning should be given credit for finally pleading guilty and sparing his victim the further trauma of giving evidence.

This is not Canning’s first brush with the law concerning inappropriate behaviour involving older women.

For the Sunday World can reveal Canning has previously received a police caution for making ‘dirty phone calls’ to another woman aged 53 years- old.

The Sunday World can also reveal that concerned parents connected to Coleraine FC, who run a ladies and youngsters academy, have voiced their concerns to the club regarding Canning’s continued connection to the club.

One mother has removed both her children in protest.

Coleraine FC issued a statement. “Coleraine Football Club are dealing with the matter internally. There will be no further statement at this time.”
