The Irish death toll in the horror Tunisian terror attack now stands at three after a tragic Co Westmeath couple were confirmed as dead last night.
Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan said yesterday there wre “strong reason” to believe the Athlone couple had also been killed.
However, it is believed that the family of the couple - Larry and Martina Hayes - were informed they were among the dead yesterday evening.
One woman, Lorna Carty (53), from Robinstown, Co Meath, was shot dead in Friday’s attack at the Imperial Marhaba Hotel where she had been holidays with her husband Declan.
