Investigation underway after death of farmer in Co Kerry
An investigation is under way after a 65-year-old farmer died yesterday morning in a machinery accident on his farm in Co Kerry.
Emergency services were called to the farm in Ballylongford at around 9.30am.
The man had suffered an injury while working on a tractor.
Inspectors from the Health and Safety Authority have visited the farm.
It is the fourth fatality on Irish farms in 2016, and the third involving machinery.
