Game of Thrones star not too impressed with Belfast
Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has spoken of his discontent at being based in Belfast while filming.
His comments came during an interview on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show in the US.
However, Harington's comments came across as lighthearted rather than nasty.
When the host of the show made a joke out of the actor being based in Belfast, rather than other more exotic GOT filming locations such as Croatia and Spain, Harington said that five years was a bit too long to spend in Belfast.
He laughed: "They [Northern Ireland] have a wonderful tourist board, they celebrate three things.
"Having the most bombed hotel in Europe, which is great.
"They built the Tiitanic which is a ship that sunk on its maiden voyage and now they have Game of Thrones, the most depressing TV show in history.
"So it's a wonderfully, depressing Tourist Board"
Last year a senior executive at HBO, the company which makes Game of Thrones, had to make a grovelling apology after he said: "Belfast is not the most cosmopolitan of cities to spend half the year."
