Fine Gael the most popular party in new poll

Fine Gael has reclaimed their spot as the most popular party in the country as Sinn Féin support has slipped.

A new poll in today’s Sunday Times, shows Enda Kenny’s party up 7% to 29%. Fianna Fáil registered no change, standing at 28%, while Sinn Féin fell five points to 18%.

Labour and the Independent Alliance both dropped slightly, now both with 5% support.

The Sunday Times said there is a margin of error of 3% in these polls. The respondents were asked their political preferences between a 12-day period between 30 March and 11 April.
