Family of imprisoned Irish teen Ibrahim Halawa launch letter writing campaign to demand his immediate release
The family of imprisoned Irish teen Ibrahim Halawa have launched a letter writing campaign calling on the Irish public to write to their TDs and demand his immediate release.
The 19-year-old, who hails from Firhouse, has been imprisoned in Cairo for almost two years after being arrested at a Muslim brotherhood protest in August 2013.
Ibrahim is due to stand trial on June 6, but other mass trials have been postponed up until now.
His family will be holding a vigil at The Department of the Taoiseach's office tomorrow calling for assistance from the Government.
