Dublin residents to experience water shortages as council reduces pressure to facilitate Luas works

Dublin residents can expect water shortages today as the City Council reduces water pressure to facilitate Luas works.

Dublin City Council has advised that there’ll be reduced water pressure, and in some cases total loss of water supply, in the city today as a result of a “major water connection being made”.

The connection is being made to facilitate the Luas Cross City Line.

The areas that will be affected will be mainly on the northside and will include Cabra, Phibsborough, Glasnevin, Drumcondra, Whitehall, Marino, Santry, Beaumont, and Donnycarney.

A number of water tankers will be made available today.

Contact the council with queries on 01 8643634, and  01 6796186 after 5pm.
