Doorman in sick stamping attack

Two bouncers involved in a sickening ‘stamping’ incident on New Year’s Eve have been fired.

Video footage emerged online this weekend of the incident outside Matt the Millers pub in Kilkenny City.

The pub has said it has reported the bouncers to gardaí, while the owner of the security company who employed the bouncers told the Sunday World they have been dismissed.

One video shows a man being pinned to the ground by a bouncer who is shouting at him that he will “f***ing kill” him if he says something again.

Another bouncer then walks over and looks around before standing on the head of the defenceless man being held on the ground.

Another video shows bouncers chasing the same man across the road before pushing him to the ground. It appears one of the bouncers strikes him while he is on the ground. A third video shows a bouncer holding the man on the ground.

The videos were posted by Joe Maher on Facebook on Friday and have gained hundreds of thousands of views.

Now the pub has released a statement saying they have reported the matter to gardaí.
