A dog was stolen and thrown into the mud on the Wexford Quays before luckily being rescued and reunited with its owner.

Rocky was very distressed by his ordeal but he has recovered now and is safely bacjk with his owners.

The two men responsible are still at large.

Our Volunteers had a "Different" type of rescue in the Harbour last night when a DOG was thrown into the Crescent muck,...

The dog's owner, Shaun Farrell, got in touch with the page and confirmed the dog was his and was okay. Firt he posted:

That's my dog his name is Rocky and is completely harmless, hopefully I can get him back home soon and to those scumbags May you have no luck for the rest of your lives thanks Catherine.

Then he said:

He's grand now and I'd like to say a big big thank you to everybody who helped rescue him I can't thank you all enough, the woman I got him off named him Rocky because he was the first born and his mother gave birth to him on some sand when the woman came home from work they didn't notice him in the sand and still in his sack he was freezing cold and not breathing so she took him inside and rubbed him with a towel and he moved so she named him Rocky the survivor. Thanks again wexford marinewathch
