DIY clamp removal bid stopped by garda
A bid to beat the clampers was foiled by a passing garda in Dublin city centre who stopped an attempt to remove a clamp from a car.
An attempt had apparently been made to remove a Dublin City clamp from a car parked on a street in the north inner city.
The chain had been loosened and the car’s hub cap removed in an apparent bid to interfere with the clamp
A couple at the scene were spoken to by an officer from a passing patrol car who then waited while the clampers were called.
