UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor has thrown down the gauntlet to Floyd Mayweather in an epic Facebook rant.

The Irish MMA fighter, who defeated Jose Aldo for the tile on December 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada in a record 13 seconds, also had a message for the media and the Gardai.

‘The Notorious’ poured petrol on the fire of his recent spat with undefeated former boxing champion ‘Moneybags’ Mayweather, saying: “If you want we can organise a fight no problem.

“I will give you a fair 80/20 split purse in my favour seen as your last fight bombed at every area of revenue.”

He also warned the retired US boxer to never “ever bring race into my success again”.

McGregor added: “I am an Irishman. My people have been oppressed our entire existence. And still very much are. I understand the feeling of prejudice. It is a feeling that is deep in my blood.

In my family's long history of warfare there was a time where just having the name 'McGregor' was punishable by death.”

It was revealed this week that gardai in Crumlin, Dublin will investigate after a pictures of McGregor holding what appeared to be a replica gun surfaced online.
