Big Fat Gypsy Wedding dressmaker Thelma Madine says she has been flooded with orders from Ireland for blingtastic communion dresses inspired by the Disney blockbuster Frozen.

Young Irish girls are looking to be turned into Princesses Elsa and Anna with white dresses decorated with diamante icicles and snowflakes for their big day.

The Disney hit has also inspired a whole range of the dressmaker’s Irish dancing dresses, which have become hugely popular.

Young communion girls will now be walking up the church aisle in extravagant dresses.

Liverpool-based Madine, who rocketed to fame on the Channel 4 series, reveals: “The little girls are all looking to be Elsa. We do white dresses with icicles made out of diamante and snowflakes and things like that.”

Trains on the meringue-style dresses can be as long as seven feet and tiaras and white matching boots are studded with crystals.

She says: “The dresses can be seven feet wide and they would have up to 15,000 to 25,000 diamante studs all sewn on by hand. We have diamante boots, lace boots and pearl boots.”

She says she gets orders for her trademark billowing Communion dresses from all over Ireland.

“We do them for Dublin, Limerick. Wexford, Cork, Belfast everywhere all over Ireland.

“We’re also doing a Frozen one and all the Princesses for the younger children who Irish dance.”
