Cartel chief Daniel Kinahan is facing a bitter split in his drugs gang after he had a massive falling out with a key member of the Byrne clan over his ‘inaction’ following the Regency Hotel hit.

Kinahan (37) and the South Dublin mobster – who effectively runs the Cartel’s Irish operations – are said to have had a blazing row in recent weeks.

It is believed that the Byrne crime gang member demanded that Kinahan order the execution of all of five Regency Hotel gunmen  in revenge for the murder of David Byrne.

The bitter row could lead to a realignment of Dublin’s criminal underworld with Paul Rice siding with the Kinahans and gang members like ‘Fat’ Freddie Thompson and Thomas ‘Bomber’ Kavanagh set to side with the Byrnes.
