Busy Saturday night for Dublin's Fire Brigade as Festive season gets underway
It was an "unusually" busy Saturday night for Dublin's Fire Brigade which faced a huge demand for its ambulance service as the Festive season gets underway.
The capital's brigade dealt with 210 ambulance calls in a 12-hour period between 7pm yesterday and 7am this morning with 140 of those calls were after midnight.
There were no reports of serious injuries.
In one incident emergency services in Dublin battled a blaze at a school in Tallaght.
The blaze broke out in a classroom at around 7 o'clock last night.
The national school is located in the Fettercairn area.
Four units of the Dublin Fire Service put the fire out.
Nobody was injured in the incident and it is unclear what caused the fire.
