BREAKING: Man arrested in the UK in connection with gangland murder of Gareth Hutch
A man has been arrested in the UK in connection with the gangland murder of Gareth Hutch last year.
According to independent.ie the suspect is expected to be extradited back to Ireland to face a charge in relation to the murder after he was arrested by police in London on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.
Gareth Hutch (35), a nephew of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch, was shot dead outside his home in Avondale House flats, North Cumberland Street, Dublin in May 2016.
His death has been linked to the ongoing Hutch Kinahan feud.
The killing was caught in CCTV and another man, Thomas Fox, has been charged with the fatal shooting.
Dublin mum Regina Keogh has also been charged with the murder of Gareth Hutch - just hours before her gun-victim brother is due to be buried.
Ms Keogh (39) told gardaí after being charged: “I didn’t do it. I didn’t murder anybody.”
Ms Keogh’s brother Michael was found shot dead in his car at Sheridan Court in the north inner city last week in another killing also believed to be connected to the on-going feud.
Michael Keogh is thought to have been on his way to work when he was ambushed and killed at an underground car-park.
The latest suspect was arrested in London and is currently being held at a station in the city.
