A 15-year-old thug suspected of stabbing an innocent man to death at a bonfire is believed to be back in Ireland and is expected to be arrested by Gardaí soon.

The teen, who has links to ‘Fat’ Freddie Thompson’s gang, is the prime suspect in the murder of Lorcan ‘Squeaky’ Rooney also known as Lorcan O’Reilly, in the Oliver Bond flats in Dublin in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

There were initial fears he may have fled to Spain in the wake of the murder.

However, sources say he travelled to the U.K. where Thompson is based, but returned to Ireland during the week. It is suspected he asked Thompson for advice on what to do and later returned to Ireland.

It is believed he travelled through Belfast to the U.K. by ferry.

Gardai are confident that they will be able to locate the youth when they are in a position to arrest him.

“He’s believed to be back in the country,” said a source. “There are indications he was in England, but has now returned. He’s laying low at the moment, but he’ll resurface.”
