Nepalese villagers recover the remains of 17 people following landslide
Villagers in Nepal have recovered the remains of 17 people who went missing after a landslide triggered by the devastating earthquake that hit the country in April.
Government administrator Shiva Ram Gelal said the villagers in Langtang valley gathered the remains this week and reported it to authorities in Rasuwa district.
However, bad weather is preventing the authorities from flying to the area by helicopter.
The entire village was buried by the landslide. The village is in the scenic Langtang valley, which is popular with tourists.
The earthquake on April 25 and another one on May 12 killed 8,900 people in Nepal.
