Motorcyclist in his 30s killed in fatal road accident

A motorcyclist died following a road crash in Co Meath yesterday afternoon.

The man, aged in his early 30s, suffered fatal injuries when the motorcycle he was travelling on collided with a car.

The incident occurred on the Trim Road at Warrenstown shortly before 4:30pm on Sunday afternoon.

The man - who was the sole occupant of the motorcycle - was pronounced dead at scene.

His body has been taken to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan where a post mortem is to be arranged.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

The R154 at Warrenstown was closed for a time to facilitate forensic examination.
