Yesterday, we reported Ireland was going to receive some fine weather next week.

And we weren't wrong.

But Met Eireann now says that the weather is going to be so good we'll be experiencing temperatures in the mid-20s.

The mini heatwave about to embrace Britain will be gracing us with high temperatures on several days next week.

Met Eireann urged caution yesterday and maintained the outlook was uncertain.

However, they say the warm front will move from the continent and the hot, humid weather will spread.

Monday will be a humid day with temperatures in the late teens, early 20s.

The weather on Tuesday is expected to be a little warmer with temperatures reaching 20C - 24C in places.

And Wednesday is expected to be an absolute scorcher, Met Eireann said, with temperatures reaching 25C in places.

This weekend is supposed to be much the same, with temperatures in the late teens.

So, get the sun cream out and plan something fun!
