Michael Healy-Rae attacked by cow
Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae was taken to hospital after being injured while working with cattle on a farm.
The 49-year-old suffered minor injuries in the incident which happened around 6pm yesterday in Kerry.
Initial reports indicated that the politician was kicked and then attacked by a cow.
He was able to get away from the animal but, on the advice of a GP, he was taken to Cork University Hospital to have his injuries fully assessed after there were concerns he had suffered a fracture.
Friends and family were in the vicinity on the farm and were able to assist him.
However, a source close to the family said: "Michael will be back at work in the morning."
