Mars Ireland recall chocolates after plastic found in product
Ireland is one of 55 countries effected by a recall by chocolate manufacturer Mars.
In a statement Mars Ireland confirmed that they will be recalling funsize Mars, Milkey Way, Mix Variety Pack and Celebrations after a piece of plastic, which could pose a choking hazard, was discovered in one of their products.
Mars ordered the recall after a piece of plastic was discovered in a bar which was traced back to a factory in the Netherlands.
Reports indicate that Mars is recalling the items from France, Britain, Belgium, Italy and Spain.
The company has already withdrawn products from sale in Germany and the Netherlands.
The Irish recall concerns only the products below with the following best before dates (BBD) that were manufactured in the Netherlands and distributed in Ireland:

No other varieties of chocolate pack formats or bar sizes are affected in Ireland and no other best before dates or products manufactured at any other location are impacted.
The company has received no consumer complaints in Ireland as yet.
