Man, woman and baby taken to hospital after serious collision

Gardai in Dundalk are investigating a serious road traffic accident which occurred at Carnbeg on the Old Armagh Rd (R177) at around 11am this morning.

The female driver, believed to be in her 30s, of one car was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital with serious leg injuries.

A baby in her car received minor injuries and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda.

The male driver, in his 20s, of the second car was also taken to Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda.

There was no one else involved in the collision. 

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
