A man is being treated in hospital after a brick he threw at the window of a Belfast charity bounced back off the window and hit him in the face.

The incident occurred just before 8.30pm last night.

The man in his 40s has been detained by police and the severity of his injuries are not yet known.

The charity took to Facebook to ask for help in repairing the smashed windows at the Antrim Road premises.

Pips staff also confirmed that the branch would remain open today.

There are no further details at present.
