Man tragically killed in motorbike collision

A 25-year-old man was killed last night in Co Tipperary when his motorbike collided with a sign.

Gardai in Thurles are investigating a single-vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R689 at Fennor, Urlingford at around 8.45pm last night.

A 25-year-old male motorcyclist was fatally injured when his motorbike collided with a sign.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to Kilkenny Hospital.

The stretch of road where the incident occured is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
