Man taken to hospital after vicious Stanley knife attack in Dublin

A man working on a building site in north Dublin was attacked by two men with a Stanley knife this afternoon.

Gardaí at Coolock are investigating the incident which happened at Belcamp Green, Dublin 5 at approximately 4.20pm today.

According to gardai two men approached a man who was working on a building site in the area and slashed him a number of times with what is believed to be a Stanley knife.

The injured man was removed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital.

His injuries are not though to be life threatening.
 
No arrests have been made and Gardaí are investigating.
