Man in his 30s killed in single-vehicle collision

A man in his 30s has died following a single-car crash in Co Limerick.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in which a man (sole occupant) in his mid-30s was fatally injured.

The incident occured at Coolshine, Co Limerick, on the Caherconlish and Herbertstown Road on March 10/March 11 2016.

The vehicle was discovered by a passing motorist at around 5.30am this morning, who then notified emergency services.

The road was closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination but has since re-opened.

The man's body has been removed to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick.

Gardai in Roxboro Road are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between midnight and 5.30am on March 11 to contact them in Roxboro Road garda station on 061 214340, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
