Man dies after minibus leaves road in single-vehicle collision

A man in his 50s died today after the minibus he was driving left the road and struck a ditch.

A 52-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle collision in Co Kerry.

The collision occurred at around 3.20pm on the N86 between Ballintaggart and Dingle.

The man was injured when the minibus he was driving left the road and struck a ditch.

Four passengers travelling in the minibus at the time were uninjured.

He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry where he was later pronounced dead.

The local coroner has been notified and garda forensic collision investigators are currently at the scene.

Local traffic diversions are in place.
