Man critical after car carrying six crashes through fence in Donegal

Gardai in Buncrana, Co. Donegal, are investigating the circumstances of a crash in which a car careered through a garden fence near Moville just after midnight on Friday.

A man in his 20s received hospital treatment after a car with six occupants smashed through the fence on the Derry road at Redcastle at around 12.30am. Some of the other occupants were also injured.

The man, who is believed to have been the driver, was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry before being transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, and is said to be in a critical condition.

There was no other vehicles involved in the incident.
