Man beaten with metal bars in Bushmills

A man has been beaten by men wielding metal bars in Bushmills, County Antrim, according to the police.

The attack happened on Bridge Street at around 8pm on Monday evening.

The 22-year-old man was approached by two masked men who then attacked him.

The victim suffered injuries to his arms and legs.

One of the attackers is described as approximately 5ft 6in tall with the other thought to be 6ft tall. 

Both men fled in the direction of the river.

Detective Constable Stuart Sandrey is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that will assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
