Magician Paul Daniels has an incurable brain tumour
Magician and entertainer Paul Daniels has been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour, his family said in a statement.
A statement from his publicist said: "We can confirm that one of our greatest magicians and entertainers of all times, Paul Daniels, has sadly been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour.
"On behalf of Paul, Debbie and their families, we thank you for your kind concerns and support at this sad time and ask that their privacy continues to be respected. There will be no further comments at this time."
The 77-year-old was a television regular from the 1970s all the way through to the 1990s.
Sine then he and his wife Debbie Magee were regulars on a host of reality shows over the last decade.
Daniels appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2010, where he was the second celebrity voted off the show.
