VIDEO: Luke 'Ming' Flanagan tells EU chief “we want our money back”
MEP Luke Flanagan launched a passionate attack on the EU and the next EU Commission President Jean Claude Juncker.
The tone of Flanagan’s speech was set instantly as he opened up with “I love Europe, but hate the EU”, a sentence that swiveled in the European Parliament yesterday.
"On February 21, 2013, our minister for finance told us that Germany and France were watching our back”, he continued.
"What were they watching our backs for, to shove the knife in it? That's what it seems like.
"So the question I have is this: why is the EU through the ECB continuing to demand its pound of flesh from Ireland? Hasn’t Ireland sacrificed enough already?
"We're meant to be a community. A community does not starve its people to feed the banks.
The Roscommon politician then facetiously closed with "What are you going to do about it, oh great leader of the future?"
