Gallery: Large crowd gathers to celebrate one year on from Marriage Referendum

The event took place at Dublin Castle to mark the the one-year anniversary of the passing of the same-sex marriage referendum.

On May 23 2015 a total of 1,201,607 people (62.1%) voted Yes and 734,300 (37.9%) voted No in the marriage equality referendum as ireland became the first country in the world to bring in same sex marriage based on a popular vote.

Today a large number of people gathered in Dublin Castle to mark the day, almost exactly one year on.
