ISIS behead 15-year-old for listening to pop music
A young boy has been executed by ISIS after he was found listening to the music on a portable CD player.
Ayham Hussein (15) was caught by ISIS members enjoying the music in Mosul, the radical group’s Iraqi capital.
The teenager was forced to stand trial, where an Islamist kangaroo court ordered his public execution.
ARA News were told by a spokesperson for the Nineveh media centre that Mr Hussein was taken by the jihadis “while listening to pop music at the grocery store of his father in the Nabi Younis marketplace in western Mosul.”
Reports suggest that his body was given to his family on Tuesday.
The execution caused by listening to Western music, reportedly the first of its kind, is said to have outraged locals.
The terror group have already executed citizens of the country for other alleged ‘crimes’, including homosexuality, blasphemy and adultery.
In a 2014 statement, ISIS also banned “music and songs in cars, at parties, in shops and in public, as well as photographs of people in shop windows.”
It stated: “Songs and music are forbidden in Islam as they prevent one from the remembrance of God and the Koran and are a temptation and corruption of the heart.”
