Irishman says millions of people are going to be killed thanks to the referendum
An Irishman has gone on radio to claim that millions of people are going to be killed as a result of the marriage referendum.
Cork's 96FM Opinion Line aired the interview with a caller who said Ireland failed a test set by god in voting for marriage equality.
Hosts Deirdre O'Shaughnessy and PJ Coogan took the call from a man named Jim, who genuinely believes tens of millions of people are to die as a result of the referendum.
"The victory of the Yes side in the same sex referendum was not the people's victory," Jim said. "It was Satan's victory, enabled by the young pagans who gave two fingers to god.
"God gave us a test - a chance to show the world we belong to him, before he corrects [and] chastises the world - probably before the end of the year.
"40 million people will die in this correction."
He went on to say that god will kill up to three quarters of the world's population if we don't learn our lesson.
He added an asteroid is "on its way" in September of this year that governments are aware of it but are not telling the public as they don't want to cause a panic.
"I'm afraid of what's coming. It's not the end of the world, it's the end of this era," he says.
He says if Ireland had avoided the referendum we would be spared the worst of the coming devastation to be inflicted on the world.
"Ireland would have escaped the worst of it," he warned.
