Irish survivors of Bataclan massacre announce their engagement
The Irish couple who survived the massacre at the Bataclan theatre in Paris have gotten engaged.
Survivor Katie Healy made the announcement on her Twitter page yesterday.
Her no fiancé David Nolan took a bullet to protect Kate during the massacre at an Eagles of Death Metal concert last month.
David is now back in Ireland where he is continuing to recover from the horrific injuries he sustained.
Kate took to Twitter to announce the news to her 2,000 followers.
“Have I mentioned David proposed? We're engaged. We're getting married, no big deal. AGH!” she posted.
She later thanked all her well-wishers after she was bombarded with congratulations.
“Thank you SO MUCH for all the well wishes. We are absolutely thrilled”, she wrote.
89 people were murdered at the Bataclan theatre during last month’s attack.
